Update
Thought I'd better post where we are up to with the house plans.
We went to our colour walk through on 18th October where we decided on our bricks and a few of the kitchen colours.
On the 20th October we signed off on our consolidated tender by email and today (2nd November) we've just heard our preliminary plans are ready and we should get them tomorrow in the mail.
We have our 4hour colour appointment on 23rd November so looking forward to that, and seeing the plans tomorrow!

Our Plans
The Parklane -
We ended up deciding on the Parklane. It's an older house and they will be discountiuning it at the end of the year, but it's within our budget and still not as small as the Sorrento.
There are a few changes we've asked for -
So, last Thursday we put our $3000 deposit down, this week they have started testing the soil and organising a contour survey. It looks like we might need the dearer slab too.
I've started taking photos of outside colours I like - we will be getting our colour pack soon and making an appointment to decide! Exciting!

- Doors to Ensuite and WIR (preferably sliding to ensuite)
- Alfresco Grande
- Door at rear of garage
- Wine rack above fridge
- Wider front door
- The rumpus will be squared off and a sliding door to go onto the alfresco
- Servery window off kitchen
- Shampoo recess in ensuite
We will be getting the impressions package which includes upgrades such as ceaserstone benchtops, mixer taps, water filter, remote control doors, glass splashback, steel frames, colourbond roof etc.

Deposit Paid!
We've paid a deposit on the Parklane by McDonald Jones Homes.
So excited that we will be building our dream home!
Not sure of the time frames yet, but hopefully by Christmas next year we should be in our new home.

Our Block
Our Block.
Well, I hope it's going to be ours. Our bank is still stuffing around with the finances, and while our offer has been accepted, it's not ours till we exchange contracts.
