Update

Well, we've been in for 5 weeks now and slowly, slowly we're getting things done.

Our retaining walls are built and ready for fill and grass seeds

Our turf is down

Front steps are done

Side gate is done

Downlights and heater/fan lights installed

Moving Day Tomorrow

We've been busy unpacking boxes ready for our big truck tomorrow to grab the furniture. I was up there tonight doing a last minute vacuum before they get there early tomorrow.

Thanks MJH for a relatively smooth build.

All things at PCI were fixed but we've got a problem with the gas, hopefully the plumber will be back today to have a look at (no gas means no cooking an no hot water do hopefully it's an easy fix).

Our new fridge is arriving today and our blinds are also going in. Removalist is booked for tomorrow, so well have our first night tomorrow night.

Yesterday I've unpacked most of the kitchen and we've got a big woollies delivery arriving this afternoon to restock things.

I wish I took some photos before we. Started unpacking, will upload some when it's a bit neater inside.

Keys

We should get the keys on Tuesday.

PCI was today and there's plenty of paint touch ups and cornices to be fixed.

We're getting our driveway laid tomorrow

Bits & Pieces

Had a few more bits and pieces
Installed today including door handles
and bathroom accessories.

Weve also had the cleaners come in today and the windows are looking good

Carpet bath and tiles

Still a heap to do and hoping to have our PCI next week.

We did a walkthrough today, but not at PCI stage yet. Hoping to get the keys late next week

Taps Wardrobes

Finally I was able to visit the house and look in the bathrooms. There was a tradie there today doing the wardrobes for us

Oven Stove and Taps

Went in yesterday. There was no one at the house so these are the only photos from outside the dirty windows

The sparky has also put in the power points and light battens

Final Inspection

Apologies for the lack of updates. Although we've been up to the house, there hasn't been much progress and we are unable to see into the bathrooms because of the frosted glass.

Our call to MJH today informs us our contract does finish on 6th September. We're having our final inspection next Thursday or Friday and then the keys the following Friday - which is the 7th.

Be better make a move on packing! 

Kitchen & Bathroom Benches

Were installed yesterday.

Really happy we upgraded to the thicker stone in the kitchen

Painting

Our outside painting has started, and it's looking great!

We've also got our huge front door handle on and our down pipes finished

More tiling

Our bathrooms are finished (except for the feature strip which hasn't been done yet.

From what we know about tiling (i.e. - very little) the bathrooms and laundry look great.

The guy said he would be back after painting to do our hallway and kitchen/dining.

We have also ordered our LED down lights today after getting heaps of help and advice from a lovely lady at Beacon lighting.

We've paid for our fridge, dining table and bits and pieces from Ikea.

I'm not sure what the next stage is - maybe painting?

Tiling

Our tiling started on Wednesday and he think he'll be finished by tomorrow.

We're really pleased with the colours so far they're looking great

More Progress...

I drove past the house at lunch time and no one was there, but when D went to have a look after work, our sparky has been in and cut out the holes for powerpoints/light switches etc.

We also have a huge pile of sand out the front, and bags of cement in the garage, which I'm guessing is for tiles?

Kitchen!

Our beautiful kitchen is being installed today!

We've also had our tiles delivered - all happening this week!

Doors and Architraves

Have been installed. Well most of them anyway!

We've also got our laundry and kitchen sink delivered

Cornices and Waterproofing

First stage of waterproofing has been done this week as well as our cornices.

We've also had our internal doors delivered and skirting and architraves too!
